Mrs. Solomia needs her roof fixed and her walls painted- VIDEO + PHOTO GALLERY
Author: Christian Charity | 22 Jul 2010 | ![]()
Mrs Solomia lives alone in a “not so friendly” environment. Her husband died almost two decades ago and since then she is trying to keep up with life as much as she can. Her main problem is the room she lives in. It is dirty and moist is everywhere because her roof is almost crashing and the rains drains everywhere in her house, on the ceiling and on the walls, forcing her to move around the house when it is raining, so she will not get wet.
Our desire is to fix her roof and Read more… »

Mr. Grancea lives alone in hard to imagine conditions in an apartment. He can not walk right and he can not do even the basic cleaning in his apartment. He needs his walls painted and a general cleaning.
As he is ill and can not do too many things in his house, we would like to continue helping him periodically. Our social workers will visit him a few times a week and try to help him with anything he needs.
We have here a few pictures of his actual condition. Feel free to express yourselves, give ideas or suggestions. For those of you that want to donate any amount of money for Mr. Grancea’s apartment renovation, we have all the information needed posted here.
Mr. Cornel and his sister – it is raining in their house! – they need the roof fixed urgently! – VIDEO (new) + PHOTO GALLERY

I found these people trying to work around their house but they are not very successful judging on what can be seen there. But there is a reason to that. They suffer from a form of retardation that doesn’t allow them to get a job or to get their work done properly.
Click on the image to see the photo gallery about this special case!
This is why we would like to assist them in what they are doing around their house. Our organization, with the help of good-hearted people, desires to repair their roof as this is the most important and urgent thing they need. They have all kinds of bowls in their house, all around the two poor rooms, in which they collect water that drains into their house every time it’s raining. There is no need to tell in what conditions they live in wintertime because we can all imagine.
There are a few photos posted in this article which speak more than we can. Please take a look Read more… »

Mr Petre is 67 years old. Life has not been too kind with him. He has always tried to make his life simpler, to have his own house and be happy with his family. He was a driver, but even though he was not successful in having his dream come true. During the communist regime, he helped escort people outside the border, into Serbia . This way he put his life in danger and made some money to build the foundation of the house and buy some bricks. When he got caught escorting, he was imprisoned, beaten and all the construction material was confiscated. While in prison his wife left him and his dream fell apart. And as if this was not enough, due to a heart disease he loses one foot.

www.christian-charity.info presents you with the project “Help an elder person stay warm during winter”. It has been 4 years now, since we initially started the social projects to help elders in need and poor families. This year we have about 15 families that need our help with fire wood during this winter time. These are lonely elders or families with low income, and our help will be a reliefto their situation. We are thinking of spending a total of 130 euro for each family to buy fire wood.

He came to Caras Severin, where one of his aunts lived. He lived with her for a period of time and worked in that area. He started having problems with his eyes since he was a little boy, but because his family couldn’t afford medical care, his vision deteriorated more and more over the years. He now wears glasses with -20 lenses. Cristi now received disability benefits, but is not allowed to do hard labour. In all these years he used to live at friends’ houses; he was also homeless for 2 weeks and lived in the train station.

A new home for a single mom with four children – ACCOMPLISHED
Author: Christian Charity | 27 Nov 2009 | ![]()
Mrs. Viorica is a mom of four children; three out of her 4 children are severly mentally retarded. Her husband has left her several years ago and she lived with all of her children in one single room that had a small kitchen. It’s difficult to describe the condition of their home, especially when considering that 3 children are severly retarded and didn’t know, how to use the restroom. After our professional builders have examined the house, they came to the conclusion that the roof was ready to collapse at any moment and this would put their lives in danger. We decided to build a small, but better house for this mother and her children. We didn’t have any funds to start the construction nor did we have enough time to start a fundraiser. However, we started the work on this project and people from many countries that heard about this mother in need, have contibuted, so that we were able to built the a new house for this family. A new roof for the Chirila family – ACCOMPLISHED
Author: Christian Charity | 27 Nov 2009 | ![]()
When we set out the calculation for this project, we came up with an estimated amount of 600 RON that was needed to accomplish it. However, when our professional builders arrived at the scene, they had to eveluate the roof and came to the conclusion that the old roof had to be demolished and a new roof needed to be built; which meant a total expense of 5,500 RON. The funds that we had raised was an extreme low amount of money and we had talked to our builders, that we didn’t plan on spending more than 600 RON on this project and that we would have to call this project off, due to the lack of sufficient funds. Our volunteer builders however incouraged us, to keep the fundraiser going and try to collect the money that was needed to reach our goal. We did exactly that and the project had started…people with an open heart that were very giving and kind, have helped raise the remaining sum and built a new roof for the Chiril family as well as renovate one of the rooms that was in very unhumane conditions.
